Watching Katy Perry's E.T's video i was amazed at the costumes and dresses by Dior and Alexander Mcqueen. The music video was more of a mini movie and thought the makeup and styling was stunning.

Newcastle fashion week 2011

Newcastle Fashion week will run for 8 days – encompassing fashion shows, events, exhibitions, lectures, retail promotions and competitions spanning venues across the city and involving fashion greats like Wayne Hemingway and Scott Henshall.

Newcastle Fashion Week will support Northumbria University’s BA (Hons) Fashion Show on the 19 May at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead

Lectures with prominent speakers from the fashion industry will be held at Northumbria University during the course of the week. Wayne Hemingway, creator of the Red or Dead label and most recently the Vintage Festival is on board and will deliver a lecture on Monday 16 May 2011.

On Tuesday 17 May 2011, a catwalk fashion show at Newcastle Fashion Week venue, ‘As You Like It’ will provide a showcase for Newcastle’s home-grown fashion talent. The event will be combined with a Celebrity Fashion Auction with all proceeds going to charity.

Retail:

A whole host of retail fashion promotions, offers and events will be staged at shops, shopping centres and boutiques across the city including catwalk fashion shows, exhibitions, discount and V.I.P evenings. People will be able to get involved in Newcastle Fashion Week with in-store fashion make-overs, personal
shopper sessions and demonstrations by make-up artists and fashion and styling advice from the experts.
